Amino North American Corporation (ANAC) is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for automotive parts of many different makes and models. ANAC is expanding their production facility in the core of the industrial area in St. Thomas with a 45,000 sq ft expansion complete with press pits and overhead crane.
To reduce project costs, the client requested all excess soil to remain on site, which poses a substantial challenge. The civil department was able to satisfy this request with some creative grading that allowed a 90,000 sq ft area to stockpile the soils while ensuring proper drainage of the site and avoiding water pooling.
