Welcome Martin, Maya and Julio

Today we are happy to introduce three new team members at co-elevate!

Martin Mihov has joined our team as a Structural Engineer. With over 12 years of experience in structural engineering, he brings a wealth of expertise to our projects.

Since graduating with distinction from the University of Western Ontario in 2012 with a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Civil Engineering, he has since been deeply involved in a variety of building projects. From small-scale renovations to the design of high-rise apartment buildings, Martin's dedication to precision and innovation has consistently delivered outstanding results.

Driven by the pursuit of professional growth, he is dedicated to staying at the forefront of the industry advancements. Martin is excited to impactfully contribute to projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals.

Fun fact: Martin is an ACUC certified Rescue Diver

Maya Sargeant has joined our team for the summer as an Architectural Technology Student. She is entering her fourth year at the University of Toronto where she is working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies with a Specialization in Architectural Studies: Design of Architecture, Landscape, and Urbanism. She plans to further her knowledge and skillset by pursuing a Masters of Architecture.

Throughout Maya’s education, she has developed a passion for sustainable and efficient design. She has been involved in a student-run lab at UofT where her team explored the future of sustainable building practices by participating in design competitions around the world. The most recent being the YAC Design Competition for the Weihai Shandong Art Museum.  

Fun fact: I've worked on an apple farm for 8 years of my life meaning that I have an extensive knowledge of the growing and varieties of apples!

Julio González Rodríguez has joined our team as a Structural Designer. He recently completed his Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Western Ontario. He has a few years of experience in the industry and academia, both in Canada and Mexico, where he completed his bachelor’s degree.

Julio is excited to continue gaining experience to obtain a Professional Engineers Ontario license in the coming years and continue contributing to the development of society through the practice of structural engineering.

Fun fact: He attended his favorite band's concert, three days in a row, in three different cities
