Stepping up for Mental Health

Each year our Commitment to the Community Council (CCC) focuses on one charity and this year it is the Canadian Mental Health Association.  In addition to internal fundraising and awareness events throughout the year, our team decided to put our bodies in motion to show their support.

On a cloudy Saturday morning on May 11th our team stepped out to run/walk 5km in support of women’s mental health.  The Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women is the largest event series in Canada, dedicated to women’s mental health, taking place in over 18 Canadian communities. It was inspiring to join over 800 participants for the 5km event in Kitchener/Waterloo and to cheer each other on as we each crossed the finish line.  The event also gave us time to focus on the importance of mental health programs.

Participating in the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women was not just about crossing the finish line – it exemplified our firm commitment to supporting women’s mental health, showcasing our dedication to making a meaningful impact within our community.
