June Rose Callwood Public School is a two-storey elementary school located in St. Thomas, Ontario, that was formerly known as the Edward Street School. co‑elevate was proud to take part in the revitalization of the main entryway of this school as well as a much needed gym and classroom expansion.
The most the notable part of the addition was the construction of a spacious gym and activity room, complete with a performance stage. This multipurpose facility serves as a hub for physical education classes, sports activities, school assemblies, and various performances, including the school’s annual musical. The gym's structural design includes steel roof trusses supported by block bearing walls, ensuring a sturdy and safe environment for students and staff.
Overall, the renovation and addition project at June Rose Callwood Public School aimed to enhance the educational environment by providing modern and functional facilities. By expanding the school's capacity, updating the front entrance, and adding a versatile gym and activity room, the school is better equipped to meet the diverse needs of its students and promote a positive learning experience.
