Respecting the Balance: Work…Play…Rest…

One of co-elevate’s core values is “Work, play, rest. Respect the balance”. This principle underscores the importance of not only dedicating ourselves to our tasks but also carving out moments for relaxation, enjoyment, and the strengthening of bonds among our team members.

Our dedicated Fun Club executives tirelessly strive to uphold this principle, ensuring that our employees take the time to recharge and allow themselves to create this balance. We’re excited to share some of the fun activities that have graced our team in recent months, all designed to strike that harmonious balance between work and play.

Brand Launch: Cheers to 50 Years!

co-elevate was once known as Gray & Fick. With the growth and change we were experiencing as a company, we felt we needed a brand to suit the company we were settling into. One that resonated to our core values; core values we spent time collectively brainstorming; core values that best spoke to our personal characters and who we are as a company.  We thought, what better opportunity to do so than while celebrating being in the industry for 50 years. The event was held in celebration and to show appreciation for all the clients and relationships we've built over the years while showcasing our new brand!

Yoga Time

Working at an engineering company can be stressful sometimes, and it is very important for our employees to take care of their mental and physical wellbeing. Yoga is a simple way to encourage our employees to step away from their desks and focus on themselves to “Respect the balance”.

You may ask yourself, why yoga? Taking a yoga break can help in many ways such as:

  1. It reduces stress through deep breathing and relaxation.

  2. It increases one’s energy and focus, which then leads to the increase in productivity, problem solving, and decision making.

  3. It relieves pain: sitting at a desk all day can create bad posture or some kind of discomfort in one’s body, yoga stretches can help relieve that pain.

  4. Doing yoga with a team fosters team building, and promotes a healthy workplace culture.

Taking a short break from work and practicing yoga or any kind of relaxing activity every now and then can be very beneficial for one’s mental and physical health.

Mini Golf

There is a mysterious relationship between Engineering and golfing. However, golfing can be difficult for some of us. To ensure that everyone has fun and feels included, we decided to take the team out for some mini-golf fun. It was a great way to be part of a team, compete against other teams in a friendly manner, step away from work to destress, and make memories with the people you spend most of your day with. To spice things up a bit, we added some challenges such as taking the first shot while standing backwards, or while kneeling. Following the friendly game of mini golf, we had dinner with the team, and gave out some fun awards!

“Work, play, rest. Respect the balance”

Thank you to the Fun Club who continue to work hard on planning and executing events throughout the year to allow our employees to step back and respect the balance.
